Even more things to help!

Here are some more of the tools that I use in order to make life easier. I think I’m going to do a how to make a podcast guide next week because I’m running out of recommendations for tools that I actually use and that are cost effective. If there are any tools that you want me to check out then let me know through the RISE & SHINE twitter

A tool I use:

Adobe Podcast Enhance

From the Adobe website:

“Clean up audio for free with Adobe Podcast AI. Enhance Speech makes voice recordings sound as if they were recorded in a professional podcasting studio. “

There are lots of new audio clean up tools out there so please do explore them all if you wish. I like this one from adobe, especially now that it allows you to upload wavs to it and adjust the level of processing.

A place I’ve learned:

Mike Russell

From Mike Russell’s YouTube:

“I’m Mike Russell, from Music Radio Creative My mission is to provide you with the highest level of education in the field of audio and video. With years of experience as an Adobe Certified Expert, I will guide you through the process of creating exceptional audio and video content through efficient techniques and high-quality post processing.

My videos show you the must-know secrets for producing great-sounding audio, expert tips and tricks for using Adobe products, insights into audio plugins and alternative editors like Audacity, Pro Tools, Studio One and GarageBand. I’ll also give recommendations for the ideal gear for any setting – home, studio, or on-the-go, and suggestions for building a top-notch home recording studio. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to elevate your audio game and stay ahead of the competition.”

I hope Mike Russell realises just how many audio producers have learned editing because of his YouTube channel. I discovered his simple, to the point tutorials because of an urgent need to level up at the the start of my career and continue to use them to this day.

A social media profile I love:

Corporate Erin

From Corporate Erin’s instagram:

“Manager for the Managerial Logistics of Management at McManagement | Top Key Performer | Manager Of The Year | Speaker | Conferences | 50k Gold Club”

If you are a freelancer who works with painful corporate clients then you need this profile.

An app I use often:

Coconut

From the coconut website:

“Coconut’s simple tax app helps self-employed people track income, manage invoicing, claim expenses, and work out how much to set aside for tax.”

I’m sure there are a few similar apps but I find Coconut very easy to use. The app makes invoicing simple (I can now send invoices in under a minute from my bed and so could never go back to writing up invoices on google docs) and the tax estimation makes it very easy to set money aside.

I hope these are useful! Next week I’ll be posting about some of the great videos on the RISE & SHINE youtube channel in a beginners guide to podcasting. We have so many great speakers doing sessions so it makes sense to highlight some of them. If podcasting isn’t why you’re here though don’t worry, there’s lot of other posts around different subjects coming too.
